Kmart Australia has thrilled its die-hard fans with another summer
must-have – and it’s only $8.
Jelly sandals are back on the shelves at the major retailer – this time aimed at adults – many of whom remember squeezing into them as kids.
The fashion forward shoes will allow customers to put their
best (and most fun) foot forward over the festive season and
are available in clear, watermelon pink and dark grey.
‘Finally, jelly sandals. I have been waiting for these,
‘ one thrilled shopper raved.
‘Omg they are back! I used to wear these religiously when I was little,’
another agreed.
A third said she had ‘quivered’ with excitement
before heading to Kmart for a pair, saying she’d kept her childhood jelly sandals
‘for this exact moment’.
Fans couldn’t help but notice the 90s trends coming in thick at the popular
store.

‘The ra-ra skirts are coming back in, all we need now are the stirrup
pants and we’re back to the 90s,’ one said.
But not everyone was thrilled with the shoe’s return following
its 30-year hiatus.
‘The sweat, the blisters, oh GOD, the PTSD,’ one woman cried.
‘Every single millennial remembers the blisters from these shoes,’ stated another.
One woman revealed her feet got so slippery in a pair
of similar shoes as a child that she rolled her ankle.
‘One post and my nightmares have returned,’ added another.
But fans said there’s a simple fix to every possible ‘jelly-shoe’ problem.
‘Just where them with cute, white socks. Simple,’ one
said.
Younger fans, who couldn’t recall the last time the shoes were in fashion, were
impressed.
‘OMG look, how slay,’ one said.
‘These are the cutest shoes, I need both colours,
‘ said another.
There are similar sandals available in the children’s section, these range from $8 to $12.
